Biodiversity Project Description (Sample)

This Biodiversity Project will provide in-depth quantitative details and statistical information about the Ruddy Duck (Oxyura jamaicenesis).  Areas that will be addressed include but are not limited to; classification (overview and specific), identifying characteristics, similar species, range and distribution (for Arkansas, U.S. and World), population numbers, migration status, importance and management, records, harvest data, hunting seasons and regulations.  In addition, the Ruddy Duck’s life history (habitat, habits, behavior, communication, growth, diet, predation, reproduction and ecosystem role) will be discussed.
